Renewable energy, or green energy, is energy which comes from natural resources ie. sunlight, wind, rain, tides, and geothermal heat all of which are renewable or naturally replenished. Sunlight offers the opportunity to harvest the suns rays to produce energy for use in a domestic environment:

Solar photovoltaic (PV) panels – solar electricity

A solar photovoltaic (PV) panel system generates electricity using the sun’s energy. They don’t need bright sunlight to produce electricity – only daylight, even in winter months.
